About twenty-four years ago, in 1991, Alix moved to West Michigan for a job transfer and has never looked back. Grand Rapids became her new home and she loves it here.
Alix learned some things when she bought her house in Forest Hills in 2001. First of all, she learned that treating her home buyers and sellers as she would like to be treated would be the underpinning of her work as a real estate agent. Alix added to this her 20+ years of business-to-business industrial sales experience and developed a philosophy for working with clients that allows her to help them move smoothly through the negotiations of the buying and selling process.
Her goal is premium customer service for her clients. This includes providing them with well researched Informed Buyer’s and Seller’s Information Packages to assist them in making the decisions that are right for them.

The latter required 90+ credit hours of education. In January 2014, Alix earned her Associate Broker license.

She has been instrumental with developing programs such as; West Michigan Community Health Check, a free senior medical assessment program, Community and Outreach Programs for the University of Michigan, setting up the University of Michigan’s Quality Improvement Programs and expos, and currently Hope Network’s Wheels to Work and GoLux transportation initiatives.

Dr. Brush is the founder of Heaven at Home Pet Hospice. She is a graduate of Kalamazoo College (BA) and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Michigan State University. As a practicing vet since 1998, she became involved in the movement toward in-home palliative care and euthanasia, beginning with her own 17-year-old rescue dog, Herkemer. Through her personal experience, she became a passionate advocate for peaceful at-home traditions. She is a member of the International Association for Animal Hospice & Palliative Care, the American Veterinarian Medical Association (AVMA), the MVMA, the WMVMA and the West Michigan Academy of Small Animal Practitioners (WMASAP).
Dr. Phinney is the only locally certified Wellness Champion for Grand Rapids. He has trained and competed as a professional rugby player at both national and international levels.
